Dennis is a seasoned IT professional, educator, and consultant with more than 27 years of experience shaping the technological landscape for both academic institutions and private organizations. A versatile expert grounded in both theory and practice, Dennis holds a Master of Business Administration (2008) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (2006) from Our Lady of the Lake, where he built the strong, multidisciplinary foundation that underpins his work today.

From his earliest roles to his current engagements, Dennis has consistently demonstrated the ability to design, implement, and optimize complex IT environments. As a Senior Network Engineer, he has managed end-to-end network configurations across diverse operating systems—Windows, macOS, Linux—and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, and KVM. His commitment to robust, secure infrastructures is evident in his track record of successful migrations, including a transition from SCO Unix to RHEL Unix coupled with an upgrade of Universe databases from version 10.1 to 11.3. He routinely handles the design and maintenance of data centers, firewall configurations, and the integration of Cisco Meraki solutions.

Dennis’s programming expertise spans PHP, .NET C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PowerShell, enabling him to navigate a variety of application stacks with ease. He has contributed to numerous development projects, including building and refining CRM solutions, implementing EDI integrations, and developing custom scripts to streamline operations. His adaptability extends to databases such as MSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, ensuring that data-driven applications remain secure, efficient, and scalable.

Dennis brings a deep understanding of the financial and accounting landscape, demonstrated by his proficiency in utilizing a broad range of enterprise and small-business accounting software. Having worked extensively with well-established platforms such as Hyperion and QuickBooks, he adeptly handles everything from complex financial consolidations and forecasting models to day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger management. Beyond these solutions, Dennis has also engaged with other robust accounting systems—like JD Edward’s One World, Solomon, and Universe—ensuring seamless integrations between front-end applications and back-end databases.
